Frequently Asked Questions ↴

Please reach us at hello@hairxscalpstudio.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Not quite. We use a treatment bed because comfort matters, but this isn't a spa day. Every session is built around your scalp health, using real analysis and targeted treatments, not just relaxation. Think clinical care with a calmer setting.

No. Scalp scoping is painless. It's just high-magnification imaging, nothing invasive.

Consultations typically run 45 to 60 minutes. That gives us enough time to look at your scalp, talk through your history, and start building a plan. This doesn't include a scalp reset or additional scalp treatments.

We start with scalp scoping so we can actually see what's going on. From there we talk through your history, any bloodwork you have, and what you've already tried. By the end, you'll have a clear picture of what's happening and what your next steps look like.

It depends on what we find and what your goals are. Some plans are a handful of sessions, others are longer term. You'll get a real timeline after your consultation, not a generic number.

Hair growth is slow by nature, most people start noticing changes around the 3 to 4 month mark, with more visible progress by 6 months. We track this with progress photos so you're not just guessing.

It depends on the cause. Some types of hair loss respond really well to treatment, others we can slow down or manage. Part of what scalp scoping and bloodwork do is help us figure out which category you're in, so we can set realistic expectations from the start.

No. I'm a certified Trichologist, Hair Loss Practitioner and Hairstylist. My approach is findings, not diagnosis, meaning I identify what's happening with your scalp and hair through analysis and overlooking bloodwork, and build a plan around that. If something needs medical attention or a diagnosis, I'll refer you to your physician.

Not always, but it helps. Bloodwork can reveal deficiencies or imbalances that are contributing to hair loss, so when we have it, we use it to build a more accurate plan.

Hair x Scalp Studio is located in Pleasanton, CA, serving the Tri-Valley area.

Yes. If you're not local, we can still do a full consultation over video, review any bloodwork or history you have, and build a plan together.

Pricing depends on your treatment plan, which we build together after your consultation. Every plan is based on what your scalp actually needs, not a flat package.
